About Cherimoya
Cherimoya trees will only fruit in USDA zone 10 but can grow in zone 11 too. They require a rich loamy soil. They need regular watering when young, about 15 gallons of water a week. When mature they need 100 gallons of water a week in the summer. Fertilize with a balanced fertilizer such as 8-8-8 every two months from May to October.
Cherimoyas fruit, the "ice cream fruit", is sweet and creamy. Its taste is hard to describe, but some say it's like a blend of banana, pineapple, papaya, peach, and strawberry.
